Workshop: "Gods, Heroes, and Groups" with Brant Elwood and Aodhán Moran
Join Brant Elwood and Aodhán Moran as we explore the powerful intersection of depth psychology and mythic archetypes in understanding group dynamics, as presented in their book Gods, Heroes, and Groups.
While influential thinkers like Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell introduced how mythic archetypes shape individual psychology, Elwood and Moran take this further by applying these insights to modern theories of group psychology, specifically the work of Wilfred Bion and the group relations movement.
In this workshop, we’ll use a depth psychology lens to start to “decode” the unconscious elements influencing group behavior, blending mythic stories that have resonated across cultures and history. This orientation can enhance the effectiveness of executive coaches, facilitators, therapists, and anyone else who works closely with teams in their organization.
